I live in New Jersey with my wife and two children. I’ve written several short stories, two of which have been published (‘The Death Bump’ in Allegory E-Zine and ‘A Taste’ in Under the Bed Magazine) and a few larger works that may never see the light of day. I’m currently working on my second novel — one I’m calling Mazzie Mae, though the title might change. I’ve very excited about it.
I’m also a drummer, guitar player and a general tinkerer when it comes to home improvement projects (ones that don’t involve electricity and/or the risk of death).
I received my BS in Computer Science from Rutgers University in 2004 and have been working in the computer field ever since. I usually get most of my writing done in the wee hours of the morning before work begins and, more often than not, have my best story ideas during the drive in. Needless to say, I’m a big fan of ‘Hey Google… note to self’.
About two years ago, I started a Dungeons and Dragons campaign with a few friends. None of us had every played before but all wanted to. I took the role of DM and really enjoy it. In addition to getting together with friends, it also allows me to take my story telling in a whole new direction. Our campaign started out as Lost Mine of Phandelver but has morphed into something new entirely over time. As an added bit of fun (for me anyway), I post the weekly summary of our game here in story form. Give it a gander if you’re so inclined.
As far as social media goes, I tend to stay away from Facebook. I did like Google+ when it was a thing, but now, besides this blog, I’m most active on Twitter and Goodreads.
