Lilvari’s Journal – Entry #4

by jaymamma.

We had been on a week of downtime which wasn’t the most horrible thing. Looking at the grounds around the manor, it has potential. The gardens are restore able and workable. I may even have a partner in the endeavor. Droop would not make the worst gardener, and he seems very eager to please. With a couple of downed trees we could even possibly build a stable, oh to keep horses and a garden again. My chosen room also has potential to be a comfortable nest from which to strike down whatever foes need be slain or dismembered.A small fireplace and maybe some shelves would be more than enough for me. I will make sure that is a priority when the work starts tomorrow. I have spent some time wondering the streets in the village and becoming more acquainted with the populous. I’ll admit it it is nice to be able to have a drink at the tavern and not have everyone be absolutely petrified of the demon sitting at the bar. They still have enough healthy fear to give me my space should I desire it. Smashing the red bags has made us into local heroes which in turn makes it more bearable and possible to continue to frequent the area. Droop and Ajax typically accompany me just in case, while dare and Mystic are absent. My patron however grows ever the more restless…

I shot up from a deep slumber so quickly, that droop leapt from his beaver hides in surprise. I put up a hand to calm him, and he returned to his bed watching me wearily. What a insane dream, then I felt the coin. Rolling it in my hands. I could still hear and feel the screams, the screams of children. It wasn’t a dream, but yet here I was in my bed, wounds suffered were not present. I leapt from my bed and too Ajax’s room. He sat on the edge of his bedroll staring down at his hand. Another coin. I looked at him he looked at me and we simultaneously acknowledged our confusion and disbelief. We discussed it at length at breakfast i the morning over a drink. Was it he house? Was it some kinda of Haunt? If it was the house why did Droop not experience it as well? I will say this from recent experience in both the reality shift we had been through, and in real life, if we were going to desecrate burial sights, we needed to go all in and destroy any remains. I am certainly not going to be killed by scores of dimwitted skeletons.
