Lilvari’s Journa – Entry #14

by jaymamma.

We were waiting for our ailing dwarf to awaken. I could feel the orc staring at me, literally feel the rage of his eyes upon me. Of course, when I turned to look at him he turned away. Hundreds of orcs he says. I doubt he could count that high to be honest. Nearby Mercarri salved Mystic’s wounds with wet rags of herbs she had gathered from around the still shouldering building. Dare flicked small pebbles at the tied up orc, bellowing laughter as he did so. This was one of the only times my demonic heritage may have came in handy, I could have saved mystic some burns. I did fell badly about that, it was just the way it had worked out though. I decided I would  tell them of my past misdeeds on the trek back once we had finished with the orcs. I not want to cause distraction that led to defeat, or I just wasn’t in the mood, take your pick. They all watched me as I buried the horse that had been slain. You could rape and pillage, but why kill the horses? So you could pull your own wagon like an idiot? Lord were orcs dumb. Mystic grimacing through her wounds placed the last few shovels of dirt onto the grave. I appreciated the help as I was growing a small bit tired.

“It’s funny, as evil as that note says you are, yo put a lot of effort into burying horses?”

I looked at her.

“The horse didn’t deserve this, So I at least can give it a proper burial?”

“Did you do the same for Ely”?

That stung a little whether that was her intent or not.

“No, they were but ash when it was done, I would have buried the villagers despite their failings they hadn’t deserved what they got. The nobles had they not been ash, I would have left to rot”

With that I walked away and to my bedroll. Sleep was was not restful as I kept watch over both the orc,and my party
